What does your business do? What do you ultimately create?
Our own Dennis Pannuto is currently tackling these foundational questions at the 2007 Henry Stewart Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Workflow Automation Conference, where he is leading the DAM & Workflow Automation for Advertising Track. The conference is being held June 6-7 in New York at the Jacob Javits Center.
Digital asset management systems are used by various industries to annotate, organize, catalog, store and retrieve digital assets. Digital assets are not only media types like images, animation, audio, and video, but also include office files like documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
n-tara has been actively involved in the DAM market through our nPowered and Ballista presentation technologies, which are presentation tools that 'sit' on top of DAM solutions and pull rich media and office files into a presentation environment.

n-tara Creates Winning Designs for Customers
For the third year in a row, n-tara's work has received accolades in a prestigious international design competition. The 2007 Horizon Interactive Awards honored n-tara, Xerox Global Services and Barter Theatre (the State Theatre of Virginia, located in beautiful Abingdon) in its sixth annual competition.
The Horizon Awards recognizes excellence in interactive media production among multi-media developers worldwide. This year's competition saw nearly 1000 entries from 24 countries around world. An international panel of judges, consisting of industry professionals with diverse backgrounds, evaluated 19 different categories ranging from online advertising to video games.
n-tara was awarded two golds, one in the Business to Business category for the Xerox Global Services Office Virtual Tour, a custom sales enablement solution, and the second in the Consumer Information category for Milton's Guide to Barter Theatre, an interactive kiosk. And finally, n-tara's holiday promotion video: Behind the Scenes – The Making of the 2006 Holiday eCard, earned a silver in the Self-Promotion Category.

I’m an expert in: I have a difficult time calling myself an expert in anything. I just work really hard at the things I love. In regards to digital media, I have been passionately studying and developing solutions for over a decade. That's brought me success and recognition but the expertise lies in the realization that there's always something to learn and many more unrealized possibilities.

Favorite viral marketing tactic: Ah! That's the answer everyone would like to know. If it grabs my attention quickly and leads me quickly to something I consider valuable -- I like it.
Favorite ad campaign: Apple “1984”
How I get around: BMW 740IL. It's truly a driving machine but costs lots of money to maintain. I've got it out of my system now and plan to settle into something more practical.
